I have the model LM-G820QM and also a G6. Using the same AT&T SIM the G8 shows using band 12 and the G6 shows using band 17. Both are supposed to support band 17. Why is this? Is there a problem?

Do both unlocked LM-G820QM and LM-G820QM7 models work on Verizon? Or is it only LM-G820V?

Activated my qm on Verizon yesterday at home, easy to do on their site. I have service with them on my previous phone and just switched the device imei number and then swamped SIM cards and viola l, instantly connect.

I am so very confused. I have the LG G8 from ATT, however, after checking here, the model number is the UM version, which is Canadian. Why would this happen?

Don’t bother trying to make a GSM-unlocked US Sprint variant play nicely with T-Mobile towers unless you’re in very dense, urban coverage areas.
*Should* be doable but lack of provisioning ability for VoLTE or wi-fi calling combined with CMDA radio preferences regardless (limited in selection choices able to be changed even in service menus on the Sprint firmware) of 2G/3G coverage makes it an exercise in frustration if you’re in slightly more remote areas. Giant pain.

Will a g820um work well in the United States in the Illinois area? Just ordered a referbished phone on amazon for 220 and the model number shows lm-g820uma so I guessing it’s just a g820um.

G820UM says its canada phone but unlocked phone will work in USA? Also, what about 4g lte, it shows less # of bands for this phone, will 4g LTE work perfectly fine in USA?
