Why I Bought the 2nd Autonomous ErgoChair Pro+ (Kinn Chair) with Mesh?

Updated on May 2, 2021 by Tuan Do

Last year, I tested and used the Autonomous Kinn Chair (later renamed as ErgoChair Pro+) for a few months. I stopped using it just because I needed to test other office chairs. Recently, I tried the Autonomous AvoChair but it was quite a disappointment for me. Therefore, I decided to move back to an ErgoChair Pro+ since it is still the most comfortable chair I’ve ever used.

This time, I no longer bought the naked TPE version because the rubberized material is not really soft to my skin and it can get dirty sometimes. I picked the version with blue mesh covering the TPE seat and back. This is a little more expensive but totally worth it.

Essentially, the two versions are pretty much the same and there is no difference in comfort between them. The only difference is the additional mesh on top of the TPE material. Obviously, this doesn’t look as cool as the naked version, however, the fabric upholstery makes this chair much cleaner and softer. The rubberized TPE material can get dirty easily and you can even feel a little sticky during hot and humid summer days. I often had to wipe the chair once every few weeks to keep it clean. This mesh version doesn’t have that problem and it looks great all the time.

Underneath the fabric mesh, you still have the super comfortable spring seat with TPE top. Autonomous uses hundreds of springs to absorb weight while not making it sinky; This is somewhat similar to a coil spring mattress. The seat is so soft yet firm enough so that our body is not sinking into the chair. I also love that it is built with optimal airflow on both the back and seat. There is no thick cushion, so we always feel cool and breathable on hot days. The back features the same natural spine design and a TPE layer to wrap around my whole back and offers lumbar support naturally. Very few ergonomic office chairs on the market offers such a full back support. The design and material also make this chair more lightweight than ever, specifically, it weighs just over 35 lbs.

Overall, there is nothing to complain about the ErgoChair Pro+ (Kinn Chair) apart from the lack of headrest. I know some other people using this chair and they all are so satisfied with the purchase. Therefore, we at TechWalls once again recommend the chair. If you’re interested, you can use the promo code R-twdesk to save from $10 to $200 during checkout on Autonomous.
