Tendak 5-Port USB Charger with Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type-C Review

Updated on Dec 23, 2016 by Tuan Do

A USB charging station is a must-have gadget in my home office right now. I always want to use one charger to charge all of my devices and it seems like the Tendak 5-Port charging station could meet all of my requirements.

Features & Performance

The product comes with a stand so that you could rest the charger and 5 more mobile devices. A 1-meter power cord is included, so you can place the charger anywhere you want.

The Tendak charging station has a power input on one side and 5 output ports on the opposite side. This is my first charger coming with both Quick Charge 3.0 and USB-C ports. The Quick Charge 3.0 port is useful when you use compatible devices like LG V20, HTC 10 or Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Besides, it also retains backward compatibility with 2.0 and 1.0 standards. The new standard is much faster as it could charge your smartphones up to 80% in 35 minutes and a full charge takes just over an hour.

Another notable feature is the USB Type-C port. This is extremely useful when you use compatible devices. It can not only charge smartphones but also charge small laptops like the 12-inch Apple MacBook or Dell XPS 13. I don’t recommend you to use it for bigger laptops like the 15-inch MacBook Pro 2016 because their current rating is higher at around 4.3A and the USB-C port can output just a 5V/3A current. Also when you charge a laptop, you shouldn’t plug in any other device at the same time.

Apart from the QC 3.0 and USB-C ports, there are also 3 standard USB ports with 5V/2.4A output each. All of the ports have safety features such as surge protection, temperature control, or short circuit prevention, so your devices will be protected in the worst case.

The Tendak charging station is an affordable solution to reduce the clutter when you need to charge multiple devices. It has a solid build and all the latest features, so we highly recommend the product.
