LG G Flex Clears The FCC, Available in US for just over $1000 Now

Updated on Nov 18, 2013 by Guest Authors

Have you always wanted a curved Phone? Well why not go for the LG G flex, the smartphone with a curved screen. Till now LG G Flex was only limited till Korea but now after its FCC clearance LG G Flex is set to go on sale in US this January. The smartphone still costs a lot that is $1000 but at least now you don’t have to visit Korea to get one.

The G Flex has a curved screen that follows the contours of the face with that you get a whole lot of other features and a new user interface. Jong-Seo Park the president and CEO of LG said that the new LG G Flex is the best example of how the next generation smartphones will look like with curved display and shape. LG G Flex features a distinctive design, not like the Samsung Galaxy Round, and presents a powerful hardware and exciting UI that shows the most significant development in the smartphone industry till now.

The is no doubt that the big curved display on the LG Flex looks beautiful and it’s also said that its curved screen can withstand up to 40 kg of pressure and can heal any minor scratches on its screen by its self. The curved design of the screen also helps to reduce glare.

LG Flex Specifications

  • Operating System: Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2
  • Chipset: 2.26 GHz Quad-Core
  • GPU: Adreno 330, 450MHz
  • Display: 6-inch HD
  • Camera: Rear 13.0MP / Front 2.1MP
  • Memory: 2GB
  • Battery: 3,500mAh

If you can’t wait to get your hands on the phone, you can get it from two different online websites for now, The Negri Electronics or Overseas Electronics where you can pre order it but the prices are above $1000, the only disadvantage in pre-ordering these phones is that you won’t be able to use LTE. So it’s best to wait till January when it will be officially hitting US and all its carriers like AT&T, Sprint and Verizon since it will come at a subsidized price and the LTE feature will definitely be working.
