Vanguard UP-RISE II 15Z Zoom Camera Bag Review

By Tuan Do

Vanguard is known as one of the most popular brands producing accessories for cameras. When you are looking for a high-quality camera bag, a Vanguard’s product should be the first choice.

I reviewed the BIIN 47 camera backpack from Vanguard and that is a great product as well. However, probably you will need a more compact camera bag and the Vanguard UP-RISE II 15Z Zoom will offer all your needs. Thanks Lovecases for providing the camera bag for review.

Here are some pictures of the bag out of the box.

What is special about this Vanguard bag is that it features 2 sizes in one bag. You can choose the lens suitable for your shoot and if it is a large one, you can simply undone a zipper to expand in size. Therefore, you can bring whatever lens you want without worrying that it couldn’t fit your bag.

When you put your camera inside, you can be also confident that your camera is fully protected. The bag comes with a camera cradle to store your camera neatly inside, it won’t move around and so can avoid potential damages. The back of this bag hides a rain cover. You can take it out when it is raining and now your camera is totally safe from water.

The Vanguard bag has more than enough space for you to bring a camera with attached lens. It has a built-in exterior pocket on the front to accommodate your accessories. The D-ring is also available so that you can carry more accessories or attach to the included strap.

I have used the bag for a month and honestly this is a perfect one for me. I often bring just one lens for shooting, so this Vanguard is so compact and convenient to carry around. Is protection is also excellent with thick padded layers and rain cover. I’d recommend this product to anyone who likes compact traditional camera bag.
