Tensky High-Speed Hair Dryer Review – Sleek, Compact, and Powerful

Updated on Dec 6, 2022 by Tuan Do

All hair dryers have the same working mechanism: They blow hot air toward our head to dry the hair. People use it not only for drying hair after showing but also for hair styling such as curling, straightening and styling. Sometimes, small changes make huge differences and the new Tensky hair dryer replaces the classic L-shape hairdryer with a much more compact and unique design.

Unboxing & Testing Video

Features & Performance

Out of the box, the dryer comes with a magnetic nozzle; You will just need to attach it to the head and it is ready to use. The cable is 5.9ft long and it is more than enough to use in my bathroom. Notably, the plug is standard ETL & UL approved for better leakage protection.

My first impression with the hair dryer is that it is so compact and lightweight. It is powered by a tiny yet powerful 110,000 RPM high-speed brushless motor that is placed inside the handle. This design makes the hair dryer even lighter and easier to maneuver. The Tensky can completely dry my short hair for 3 minutes and my wife’s for around 6 minutes; This is quite impressive as compared to traditional dryers that we used before. I also love the sleek design with a mirror on the back and RGB lighting indicating temperature setting.

Since the dryer can style and dry hair at the same time, it is great for DIY style at home and if you use this instead of going to salons, it will pay for itself after 3 blowouts. Notably, it can produce 200 million negative ions to prevent any unwanted flyaway and increase the hair shine and smoothness dramatically. At the same time, it also gets rid of frizz and dryness. As the result, it gives you the satiny, smooth, and salon-like finish.

The Tensky is powerful yet quiet thanks to the noise reduction technology. During operation, the noise level maxes out at only 59dB. So, you won’t have to worry much about disturbing other family members while blowing hair.

Besides, it remains cool to the touch. Even at the hottest setting, it won’t burn your scalp thanks to the built-in Thermo-Control microprocessor. It monitors temperature in real time at 100 times per second to prevent damage. You can adjust between 2 speeds (Strong/Soft) and 4 temperature settings (Cold, Warm, Hot, Alternate Cooling and Heating).

Another nice feature is the intelligent touch function; The dryer will turn on automatically when you grab the handle and when you set the hairdryer down, it will turn off by itself.

Overall, the Tensky hair dryer works extremely well during my test and we love using it because of easy usage and faster drying time. The product has a listing price of $189 but you can clip an Amazon coupon to save $40 now.
