ONSON Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier Review

By Tuan Do

At the moment, I probably don’t need to list all benefits of a humidifier since it has become an essential household item. Even when you are living in a tropical country, you still need to use a humidifier because the air will become dry when you turn on the air conditioner or heater. The dry air will lead to serious consequences as it can make you more vulnerable to colds, sinus infections, and flu; It will also make your skin dry and itchy, cause flare-ups of existing skin problems like eczema. I’ve tested multiple humidifiers in different sizes and I’m glad that the products are much more affordable now. In this post, we’re checking out the ONSON Ultrasonic Humidifier.

Features & Performance

There is nothing special about the ONSON humidifier since its mechanism is still the same as other ultrasonic humidifiers. It still uses a vibrating diaphragm to create water droplets that exit on the top. The cool mist is produced quickly as soon as I power on the device.

Although there is no new feature, the ONSON has done everything right and fixed all problems I got with previous humidifiers. What I love the most is that the top cover can be removed so that I can refill water without taking out the water tank; I can just pour the water to the tank and it makes the whole refilling process much faster and easier. The tank has the capacity of 4.5 liters/ 1.2 gallon which is big enough to last about 1-2 days. There are 3 mist level settings but I often set it at the low or medium setting only because the high setting is very powerful. You should only use the high setting in large rooms with extremely dry air.

Another huge benefit is that there is no water spill, either when you refill the water on top or when you place a filled water tank on the base. There is a large floating plastic piece on the bass to prevent water spill from the base; This is a simple yet effective design element to make the device become safer for users, so I really appreciate the change. Another safety feature is auto shut-off when the water level is running low.

Some other nice features are the timer and sleep mode. The sleep mode will turn off the light and since the humidifier is quite silent already, this is really a great choice for your kids’ room. The noise level of around 30dB won’t affect their sleep at all. Besides, the ONSON also has a built-in humidistat telling the current room humidity, however, the sensor is not really accurate; The reading showed 24% while my current humidity was around 59%. Another minor issue is that it is a little difficult to remove the top cover. Otherwise, everything has been great during the test of the humidifier.

The ONSON Ultrasonic Humidifier works perfectly and goes well with most home decorations. We at TechWalls highly recommend the product.

Can someone tell me what the numbers 32 33 34 stand for? or any number that appears between the power and timer push settings
