iDeaUSA is not a new brand for me since I checked out some of their headphones last year. All of them have good quality and they are good choices if you’re on a budget. The iDeaUSA V205 is not an exception, let’s check out the Bluetooth in-ear headphones.
Design & Features
You might see the iDeaUSA V205 familiar; Yes, it looks a lot like Samsung Level U headphones with a neckband design. Many people find the design bulky since some wireless in-ear headphones nowadays have just the two earbuds. However, I really like the neckband because it releases weight from the earbuds.
The headphones fit my ears perfectly and they are extremely comfortable to wear in a long period of time. I used them for hours per day and sometimes I felt like there was nothing on my ears.
The manufacturer put all the controls and battery inside the neckband and this part stay secured when wrapping around my neck.
Besides, I’m very impressed with both passive and active noise cancellation of the earbuds. Even when I turn off the noise-canceling feature, the headphones still can isolate ambient noises pretty well. Once turning it on, everything becomes silent and I could hear music clearly on a crowded street.
Another advantage is the consistent Bluetooth connection; I can place my phone in one room and listen to the headphones in another room without any hiccup. The performance is quite amazing for such a low-budget product.
The battery life of the headphones is also above average. It could reach more than 10 hours with enabled noise cancellation.
The iDeaUSA seems too good at the price, however, it is not a perfect option. The audio quality is just average; it sounds the same as some cheap headphones out there. The sound is muddy and emphasizes on the lows. The bass is overstated and my ears feel fatigued after a short listening session.
The bass is not really punchy and it is overwhelming other frequency ranges, therefore, the product is obviously not a good choice for audiophiles.
- Good battery life
- Great Bluetooth range
- Average sound
The iDeaUSA V205 is not a great pair of in-ear headphones in terms of audio quality. However, its performance in all other aspects is amazing and it’s totally worth the price tag of around $50.
