At the same time when Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy S4, they also introduce a set of accessories for this device. And the Samsung Galaxy S4 Flip Cover is one of them.
Gearzap just sent us the genuine Samsung Galaxy S4 Flip Cover for review. If you are interested in the Samsung Galaxy S4 case, there are some more colors for you to choose, such as Black, Light Blue, Yellow, Orange or Lime Green.
My Flip Cover is the white case. I love the Flip Cover on Galaxy S4 as much as I loved it on its predecessor. It is basically the same case, except that the case for Galaxy S4 is slightly larger.
If you haven’t used the official Flip Cover before, check out my unboxing video to see how it is applied to the phone.
Unlike the Tech21 Snap Case I reviewed earlier, the Flip Cover doesn’t add bulk to your Galaxy S4. After applying the case on the device, it is still as thin as it should be. That’s why the case is so sexy.
The best feature of the Galaxy S4 is that it is easier to repair than any other smartphone. We can easily open the phone to replace its components. As everything is replaceable (except the screen), why do we need another case to fit to the existing back case?
That’s the point of the official Flip Cover, it will replace the back case and doesn’t make your phone look bigger and uglier. When you have serious scratches or damages on the case, you will also easily find a new one to replace it. As this is the official case by Samsung, you will also not see another logo from a third party.
The case also has a cover to protect the front of the device when it is not in use. Flip it over and you get access to the screen.
The case looks great but it still has some disadvantages. For instance, it can’t protect edges of the phone. Many people don’t like Flip Covers because they can’t open the phone with one hand, this is actually inconvenient in some situations. The case is absolutely not suitable if you are used to texting or calling while driving. Otherwise, this is a fashionable and well-built case.
