If you like a cute game with lots of collectibles and characters, it’s definitely worth picking up.
7. New Super Mario Bros. 2
New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a side-scrolling platformer game in the Super Mario series developed by Nintendo. It has a familiar style of gameplay from previous titles as Mario or Luigi collect coins on the way to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. This isn’t exactly a game for challenge seekers like the original Mario but it still manages to bring you about 10 hours of fun, especially when you play it in the co-op mode with your friend.
6. Kirby: Planet Robobot
Kirby: Planet Robobot is the 14th entry in the Kirby franchise and it doesn’t disappoint anyone. This is an action platformer game with a similar gameplay as previous titles. Kirby can still inhale enemies in order to absorb their powers, what is new is the mech suits (Robobot Armor) that Kirby can pilot. In a nutshell, this is a very entertaining game with its clever use of robotic destruction, gorgeous environmental puzzles and unique bosses.
5. Super Mario 3D Land
Super Mario 3D Land is another platform game developed by Nintendo but it’s superior as compared to the New Super Mario Bros. 2. It’s not only a fun, inventive Mario game, it’s also the reason for turning the system’s stereoscopic 3D slider all the way up. 3D visuals are beautiful and help us judge the depths easier.
Overall, Super Mario 3D Land is a must-have game in your 3DS collection. It proves that no matter what the gaming industry evolves, Mario is always a great constant that continues to be fun for all ages.
4. Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon
Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon is the sequel to the 2001 game Luigi’s Mansion for the GameCube. Like some other Nintendo’s titles, Dark Moon is an inventive adventure game with entertaining gameplay. 3. Mario Kart 7
Mario Kart 7 is the racing game developed by Nintendo and Retro Studios for the 3DS system. Few gaming franchises remain consistently fun to play than the Mario Kart franchise, this became the best-selling racing game on a portable console. The best part of this game is the online mode, which allows players to participate in races with up to 7 other players around the world. I definitely love this thrilling racer and it shows that some game franchises never get old, they just get better with age.
2. Super Smash Bros.
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS was released in late 2014 but it has already become one of most best-selling titles on the system. It is praised for the diverse character roster and gameplay improvements.
It packs decades of Nintendo’s greatest heroes and villains into a single portable game. Whether you’re an existing Nintendo fan or a new one, and you want to play the best fighting game around on a handheld, Smash Bros gets a strong recommendation.
Pokémon is undoubtedly the most successful franchise published by Nintendo. Most games in the RPG series are developed by Game Freak exclusively for Nintendo’s handhelds. Some of the best versions for the Nintendo 3DS are Pokémon X and Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and the new Pokémon Sun and Moon. The Pokémon Sun and Moon games released in 2016 are part of the 7th generation and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise.
All of these games come with improved 3D visuals and a similar gameplay. Basically, you catch monsters, train them up and fight other Pokémon trainers. Pokemon games always dominate the best-selling games in the US and they totally deserve the 1st place in our list.
