Auto Fireman Car Fire Extinguisher – Suppress Fire Automatically

By Guest Authors

Car fires are extremely rare but the consequences are fatal, so we all should be prepared for the incident. According to some statistics, the most popular car fire causes are design flaws, lack of maintenance, accidents, battery packs, overheating engine, electrical faults, and fuel leaks.

Although it is not so common, many countries require riders to have a fire extinguisher inside their cars. However, I don’t really think this is a good idea. Once your engine blows up, you should get out of your car as quickly as possible and call emergency services. You shouldn’t deal with the fire because your car is no longer safe. Fortunately, there is a new product that would fight for your safety. The Auto Fireman claims to be the world’s first car fire extinguisher.

The product includes two small fire-extinguishing units that can be installed easily. Each unit weighs 134g and measures 3cm x 7cm. They have powerful magnets, so you just need to place them anywhere in the motor engine area and make sure to turn the nozzle upwards. The next step is connecting the two units with a 2-meter thermal wire and winding the wire around the flammable areas. Everything is ready now.

The thermal line will detect the temperature and get activated when there is an open fire or the temperature reaches 600 degrees Celcius. Then, the Auto Fireman units will shoot out extinguishant automatically to stop the fire. The extinguishant is eco-friendly as it doesn’t have toxic components; it consists of gases like N2, CO2, CO, and rigid granules.

The thermal detection technology is said to be very accurate since it is an aviation technology used to launch a rocket. The whole process is implemented automatically under the hood; it combines physical cooling and chemical inhibition, so it will put out the fire within 30 seconds.

The device is very helpful in case you’re cautious about your own safety or a fire extinguisher is mandatory in your place. I really appreciate that I don’t have to touch the hood and put out the fire myself.

The Auto Fireman is not publicly available yet but you can back the project on Indiegogo. The Super Early Bird price is $179 and it will ship in November 2017.
