AIPURY 1500 – Intelligent Robot Pool Cleaner

Updated on Jul 22, 2021 by Joe Biscardi

Earlier, we looked at and discussed Aiper Smart AIPURY600 robot pool cleaner, the smaller version. This model, the Aipury 1500 is a larger version that includes more power and capability. The differences are definitely noticeable as the Aipury looks similar to a Moon rover rather than a pool cleaner. I will discuss this design later on in the article.

However, this product does come with a larger price tag. Starting at $899, this robot cleaner is definitely a force to be reckon with. With this review, we will look at the features, the design and the use cases.

Aipury 1500 Features

First, let’s discuss the technology and battery of the Aipury 1500. This intelligent pool cleaner comes equipped with a pretty large battery, 8600mAh to be exact. Clean times have a maximum of 90 minutes with the larger battery size which is almost double that of the smaller robotic pool cleaner. This time is equal to a pool just above 1600 square feet and can detect when its battery is low and stop by a pool wall.

Similar to the other pool cleaner, this Aipury 1500 is wireless and is charged with the provided cable plugged into a wall outlet. The total charge time will be around 7 – 8 hours to allow for the max clean time so it will be best to charge overnight and clean early in the morning before hopping in. While cleaning your pool, the robot has the function to climb the pool walls, and a 4-wheel drive system. In addition, the Aipury 1500 also will scan the area and take the best route possible while cleaning to ensure a full clean.

Cleaning Capabilties

Secondly, let’s discuss the main reason in which you would purchase a pool cleaner, the cleaning abilities. We discussed how long and the maximum size the robot can clean. Pair with a triple motor, the Aipury 1500 has dual brushes to brush and vacuum dust, and debris. With wall climbing abilities this means your walls and floor will be clean as new after each clean. Filtering out debris is very easy with the top loaded cartridges. The pool cleaner opens at the top for easy clear out of the cartridge.

Without certain measures put in place, wall climbing can be a struggle. Luckily, Aiper Smart has designed this robot with anti-rollover capabilities, an accelerometer and a gyroscopic technologies. These paired up helps to keep the speed normal and the robot from flipping over.

Thoughts

This robotic pool cleaner is definitely intelligent and has the necessary capabilities to ensure a clean pool. A large step up from the smaller size. The increased battery life and wall climbing are game changing for larger sized pools. This will have no problems with most residential home sized pools. Especially if the pool is situated by trees or bushes that tend to leave the pool dirty. However, at almost $600 above the other one it may be hard to justifying the cost for a smaller sized pool. I would lean towards the smaller one unless the larger one is completely necessary.
