I’ve tested plenty of smart light bulbs, but the Linkind Smart Light Stick is one of those products that feels different. Instead of simply changing colors or adjusting brightness, it adds a dynamic flame effect that can completely change the atmosphere of a room or outdoor fixture. I installed it on my front porch and in my bathroom, and I’ve been really impressed with how much character it adds to both spaces.
Setup
The Light Stick has a T19 bulb shape with a standard E26 base, so installation is as simple as replacing a regular bulb. It produces up to 850 lumens and supports adjustable white light from a warm 1800K to a cool 6500K, along with millions of colors. Linkind also gives it more than 120 preset scenes through the AiDot app, including flame, candlelight, sunset, lava, and holiday-inspired effects.

For me, the most impressive feature is obviously the flame effect. Traditional flame-effect bulbs tend to look like a fixed animation, but the Linkind Smart Light Stick looks considerably more dynamic. The light moves, flickers, and changes intensity just like an actual flame.
I installed one in the light fixture on my front porch, and this is where the Light Stick really shines. At night, the warm flickering effect creates a surprisingly convincing glow around the entrance. It makes the porch feel much more inviting than a standard white bulb.

Flame Effect
The flame effect is the feature that makes the Linkind Smart Light Stick especially interesting. Instead of simply producing a static orange or yellow light, the bulb uses a moving flickering effect to create the appearance of a glowing flame inside the fixture.
I particularly like this effect on my front porch. At night, the warm flickering light adds a cozy atmosphere around the entrance and works extremely well with seasonal decorations. I can see myself using it extensively for Halloween, when the orange and warm tones fit perfectly with pumpkins and other decorations, and then switching to warmer festive lighting for Christmas. This makes it much easier to change the look of my outdoor décor throughout the year.

More Than a Flame Bulb
The Light Stick is much more versatile than its name might suggest. When I don’t want the flame effect, I can use it as a conventional smart bulb and choose a specific color, adjust the brightness, or switch between warm and cool white lighting. Linkind rates it at up to 850 lumens, giving it considerably more illumination than the typical decorative flame-effect bulbs I’ve seen.
Many flame-effect bulbs are primarily designed to create atmosphere. That’s fine if you’re looking for decorative lighting, but it also means they aren’t necessarily useful when you need practical illumination. The Linkind Light Stick takes a different approach. I can use it to create a decorative flame effect, but I can also turn off the effect and use it as a conventional smart bulb for everyday lighting.

The AiDot app is where most of the customization happens. I can adjust brightness from 1% to 100%, select different colors, create schedules, and choose preset scenes. The flame effect itself can also be customized, including characteristics such as flame size, brightness, flicker speed, and motion.
This makes the Light Stick useful for everyday lighting rather than something I would install only for Halloween. I can have a normal warm white setting most of the time and switch to a dramatic flame effect whenever I want more atmosphere.

I also installed the Light Stick in my bathroom, and this was an unexpected but fun use case. I wouldn’t use the flame effect as my primary lighting when I need bright, functional illumination, but it works very well as ambient lighting.
At night, the soft warm glow is much more relaxing than turning on a bright overhead light. I can imagine using it during a bath or late-night routine when I want enough light to see without completely waking myself up.

Presets
Another feature I find useful is the large collection of preset scenes in the AiDot app. There are more than 120 preset scenes covering different moods, activities, and occasions.
This is where the Light Stick becomes much more useful than a bulb that is designed specifically for Halloween or another holiday. I can select a scene based on the atmosphere I want instead of manually adjusting the color and brightness every time.

There are scenes for relaxing, parties, holidays, seasonal decorating, and other situations. I particularly like having these options because I can quickly change the lighting without spending time fine-tuning individual settings.
This also makes the Light Stick useful for everyday lighting rather than something I would install only for Halloween. I can leave it as a normal smart light most of the time and switch to a decorative scene whenever I want to change the mood.
Final Thoughts
After installing the Linkind Smart Light Stick, I think its biggest strength is that it combines practical smart lighting with an entertaining visual effect. The dynamic flame effect can completely change the mood of a space.
For me, the entrance or outdoor wall fixture is the perfect application. The flickering flame creates exactly the kind of atmosphere I want for seasonal decorating, particularly Halloween and Christmas, while the ability to switch back to normal colors means I don’t have to dedicate the fixture to holiday lighting.
