Spigen Neo Hybrid EX Case for iPhone 5S Review

By Tuan Do

All smartphone users should protect their device with a case. However, we can see that a lot of people are still using a bare iPhone because they want to show off their premium device.

That makes sense because if you use a plastic case on your iPhone, it will cover most parts except the screen. So, there will be no difference between a plastic phone and an aluminum unibody phone. The Spigen Neo Hybrid EX Case for iPhone 5S could be a good solution.

Let’s read on the review to know how the case could balance the aesthetics and protection. Here is our unboxing video to show how I applied the case on the iPhone.

You can see that the case features a bumper style that could show off majority of your gorgeous iPhone. The white case is suitable for both White and Gold iPhone 5S and everybody will realize that you are using the new iPhone now. Take a look at some more pictures:

The case is very lightweight and slim, it doesn’t add any bulk or weight to your phone. It looks really great on my hand and I can hold it firmly without worrying about slipping.

Although the case looks quite slim, it already has 2 layers of protection. That’s the combination of silicone and polycarbonate on the outside. I believe the case could protect your iPhone 5S pretty well from accident drops. The box also include some more accessories such as a screen protector, a back protective film and home button protectors. However, I don’t want to use them at all, especially the home button protectors because I have to use Touch ID.

This is my favorite iPhone 5S case so far and actually I’m using it on my device. You will need to extremely careful because the front and back of the phone are not protected, so it will still get damaged if you put your phone together with keys or other stuffs. Otherwise, I will recommend you to try the Spigen case on your iPhone. It is being listed for $34.99 on MobileFun now.

Update: After a couple of weeks, the case is getting loose and it easily slips out of the iPhone when I take it out of my pocket. Besides, I also can’t plug in my headphone jack into the port on iPhone because the cutout seems to be too small. Those are the reason I don’t use this case anymore.
