Issue Receiving Adsense Payment with Western Union – Your payout amount is more than your chosen form of payment can accept in your country

By Tuan Do

A few days ago, I received an alert and notification when logging to my Google Adsense account. The message says:

Your payout amount is more than your chosen form of payment can accept in your country. To continue getting paid, please choose a new payment method.

This is quite surprising because my earning last month was even lower than some previous months and I had no problems receiving Adsense payments with Western Union Quick Cash. The maximum limit in my country is around $4,000 and my earning is nowhere near that number. So, there are two possible reasons: Western Union reduces the payment limit or this is a bug from Adsense.

I checked Google for more information and found out that many others were also complaining about the issue. I had to change to Wire Transfer to receive my upcoming payment and also contacted Adsense at the same time. Fortunately, the Adsense support team was aware of the issue and gave me an answer promptly:

This was an issue on our end and we have now resolved this issue. I have also helped you to check and confirm that the warning status is now gone from your account. Please rest assured that this will not affect your payments. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, and thank you for your patience and understanding!

Other people also confirmed the alert disappeared automatically and this seems to be the bug from Google Adsense. So, there is no worry when you see this error in your account.
