Apple finally launched its first foldable iPhone – the iPhone Duo – in September 2026, with availability starting in late October 2026. Pricing starts at $1,999 for the base 256GB storage model and scales up to $3,199 for the 2TB capacity.
Unlike the conventional iPhone lineup, the Duo opens into a 7.6-inch inner display while offering a 5.4-inch outer display when folded. It uses a titanium foldable design, A20 Pro chip, 48MP Dual Fusion camera system, dual-battery architecture, and iOS 27. Apple offers the iPhone Duo in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities, with Night Sky and Star White color options.
Like other iPhone models, Apple makes different regional versions of the iPhone Duo. There are 4 model numbers: A3447, A3719, A3720, and A3721. They have the same basic foldable design and hardware, but their cellular-band configurations differ depending on the intended market.
There is one important detail with the iPhone Duo: all 4 models are eSIM-only. There is no physical nano-SIM tray, even the international and mainland China versions don’t have it.
