5 Unique Ways to Drive Traffic To Your Blog

Updated on Jul 24, 2013 by Guest Authors

Blogging has gained a lot of popularity in the past few years in the online world. It has not only limited itself to a hobby but, has also become a good sand steady source of income and reputation. There are various factors which decide the success of a blog but, traffic plays a pivotal role as all other sources are used to gain more and more visitors on the blog. There are various ways by which you can drive more traffic to your blog but some really work wonders in driving laser targeted traffic to your blog as it’s also an art how to gain maximum popularity for your blog.

Use of Ad Swaps

If you want to grow the subscriber list of your blog, ad swaps prove to be one of the most powerful methods for that.  An ad swap occurs when an offer is mailed out to some other person on the mutual agreement of two list owners. So, by clicking on the link in the e mail, the subscriber is directly taken to the opt-in page of the other list owner.

For the successful application of ad swaps to your blog, you need to have an initial “seed list” of about 500 subscribers. If you already have the required list, you can start the task by contacting other list owners in your niche and offering them an ad swap. This doesn’t only help in taking your subscriber list to a new height but, also increase blog traffic by sending hundreds of targeted visitors to your website.

Try Guest Blogging

Guest blogging is another proven way to get hordes of laser targeted visitors to your blog. If you post your article on the front page of a high profile website, it will certainly increase the traffic to your blog.

In the beginning, it may not be so easy to get traffic for your blog but guest blogging can do wonders to get hundreds of hungry readers to your blog right in the beginning phase. It only requires you to establish a good reader base which helps in allowing guest posting on your blog. By helping other bloggers grow their reader base, you also get free content for your site. So, guest blogging proves to be very beneficial for both the parties.

Don’t Ignore Blog Commenting

Most of the bloggers ignore blog commenting but, if it’s used in a proper manner, it can certainly prove to be a traffic driving machine for your blog. However, you should be subscribed to the top blogs in your niche. The moment a new article is posted, try to add a valuable comment to it. If you are one of the first 5 commentators on the post, you can be sure of getting a huge traffic.

It’s always a good idea to make a note of those blogs which bring more traffic to you and comment on them regularly.

Use Forum Marketing

You can also take the help of forum marketing for attracting more readers towards your blog. You can join a few big forums and start posting your blogs there. Forum marketing is considered to be very effective as it serves your blogs straight away to the target audience.  It’s also recommended to be a part of the conversation and help out wherever you feel some related information about your blog is required.

Gain SEO Benefits

Search engine optimization plays a pivotal role in bringing traffic to your blog. It is as important as link building. For  using search engine optimization in an effective way, you can use keywords in the titles of your posts and spread the main keyword throughout the body of the article. So, while adding tags, you should ensure to add all the primary keywords in it.

It’s also a good idea to use the keyword in your link as it also helps in getting more traffic for your blog.

While link building, you should take care to use the keywords in the anchor text of your links. But, it’s always recommended to use your main keywords while linking to specific blog posts.  By following this tip, your post may get a good rank for multiple keyword phrases and not just one.

So, these are some of the best and unique ways to drive maximum traffic to your blog.

        Hello Ravi
As i can see your blog is very new and PR is 0. So expecting a guest post is tough. Generally guest posts are done on the blogs having PR 2+ . So my suggestion would be build a solid PR first and i think then you will get many GUEST POST offers. Your mail will keep flooding with Guest Post offers. Let me know if you have some more doubts or wants some help. :)
