Seedpace Interactive Player with Craft Review: A Screen-Free Storytelling Experience

By Tuan Do

As a parent of young kids, I always have to find ways to keep them entertained without screen time. I’ve tried a few audio players but they couldn’t engage my kids for long. The Seedpace Interactive Player with Craft caught my attention as it promises a unique mix of traditional storytelling and AI to encourage imagination and learning.

At its core, the Seedpace Player is an audio storytelling device. Instead of putting children in front of a screen, it invites them to sit back, listen, and participate in stories told through high-quality narration and interactive prompts. The box comes with 3 crafts, or themed story packs: Imagine, Classic (Bedtime Stories), and Interactive (Dino Land); Each one offers a slightly different experience.

Once you power on the Seedpace with the button on the back, it lights up with playful expressions that respond to every move. It features over 20 built-in facial expressions, it can smile, blush, look confused, and more. This feature turns the device into more than just an electronic device, and more like a companion who listens, reacts, and shares the moment with your child.

The most impressive of the 3 crafts is the Imagine, which uses AI to generate completely personalized stories. To set this up, I just need to install the Seedpace app, connect the device to Wi-Fi, and input basic details such as the child’s name, age, and educational goals. The player then weaves those details directly into the stories it tells. When my child first heard the narrator call out his name as the hero of the adventure, his eyes lit up. He couldn’t believe the story was about him, and that moment alone showed me how engaging this technology can be.

What surprised me most was the quality of the narration. The AI doesn’t just generate text, it also delivers voices for characters that sound surprisingly natural. It feels more like a professional audiobook than something generated on the fly by a machine. You can also choose from different friends and settings for the adventures, giving kids some creative control over the storytelling process. The stories themselves are simple, lighthearted, and age-appropriate. They won’t replace a classic novel or a parent’s own bedtime tales, but they are absolutely “good enough” for young children and perfect for sparking imagination before bed or during quiet playtime.

The Interactive (Dino Land) craft takes a slightly different approach. It keeps things lively by asking questions throughout the narrative. For example, the narrator might ask some simple questions like guessing which dinosaur has a long neck that could reach leaves at top of the tree, and your child can press one of the buttons to choose. This keeps children attentive and while it isn’t quite as magical as the Imagine craft, it still adds some fun to the device.

The Classic (Bedtime Stories) craft is the most traditional one, offering pre-written stories with soothing narration. It doesn’t have the interactive features of the other packs, but it is a good option when winding down for the night.

Parents can appreciate that a quick tap will bring the device to life and there is no need for complex setup each time their child wants to listen. Once stories begin, kids are ready for the natural narration, personalized details, and fun interactive elements, while parents appreciate the educational value and the fact that it offers entertainment without a screen.

Beyond the content itself, the Seedpace Player has a surprisingly good speaker. The sound is clear and clean, with enough warmth to make narration and background music pleasant to listen to. Many toys with audio features tend to sound tinny or overly compressed, but this one genuinely feels like a small, quality speaker.

Overall, the Seedpace Interactive Player is a wonderful way to entertain young children without screen time. The Imagine craft is my favorite feature as it could create natural personalized audio experiences. For parents looking to encourage creativity and foster listening skills, this device is easy to recommend.
