ROBOQI Automatic Car Phone Holder and Wireless Charger Review

By Tuan Do

While many modern cars are equipped with a display and an operating system, they are still expensive and the experience is not yet ideal. Therefore, many people prefer using their smartphones with a car phone holder. The ROBOQI that we’re reviewing today is not just a phone mount but also a wireless charger. Let’s check it out.

Unboxing & Testing

Design & Features

The box contents include the ROBOQI charger, an air vent clip, a windshield mount, a QC3.0 car charger, and a USB-C cable. Installing the car holder is fairly easy; You can mount it to your windshield, place it on top of dashboard, or attach it to the air vent.

I used the mount with suction cup to attach the phone holder to the windshield. Although my iPhone XS Max is pretty large and heavy, the mount doesn’t have any problem holding it steadily. I really love the robotic arms as they provide a tight grip as soon as I place the phone on the surface; When I need to remove the phone, I just need to lift its bottom a little and the arms will loose out. Everything works flawlessly and this is probably my best experience ever with a car phone holder.

I also extend the telescoping arm a little to reach my phone easier; The mount slightly vibrates when the car is running but the suction cup still sticks really well and has no sign of falling off yet. It can be steadier if you are using a smaller phone with a slimmer case. In case you need a more stable setup, I’d recommend you to install it on the dashboard; Another advantage of the setup is that the mount will not block your view of the road that much.

Apart from being a phone holder, the ROBOQI also charges your phone wirelessly. Of course, the holder still needs to be plugged in to the cigarette lighter since it doesn’t have a built-in battery itself. It supports Qi fast wireless charging 7.5W for iPhone and 10W for recent Android devices. It can fully charge my iPhone in about 3 hours.

Overall, this is a good product and really worth checking out, especially when you haven’t got any smart system on your car.
