Mango Power Union Detachable Power Station – Integrated Home & Portable Battery

By Joe Biscardi

Portable power stations have been a hot topic in recent months. Indiegogo will feature another company and their portable power station. Mango Power is launching a new power station they named, the Power Union. The Power Union will be the first detachable power station on the market. This should be a key player with other brands on the market such as Jackery, or EcoFlow. This article will look at the upcoming Power Union power station.

Battery Capacity

Mango Power’s design allow for home use or on the go.The entire Power Union’s capacity is 6.9kWh. While, the portable module, or the “Power Move” measures at 2.3kWh. However, this capacity is able to be increased. The Power Union can have a capacity of 69 kWh by using 10 devices at once. Looking at the batteries, they use high class EV polymer NCM battery cells. The batteries are an upgrade of the standard 18650 batteries used in other models. This material allows for better energy density. Also, the cells can withstand higher heat.

Mango Power’s outlet choice on the power station is not lacking. With 16 total outlets, there is 5 AC outlets, 5 USB-A ports, 2 USB-C ports, and 1 car 12V outlet. Therefore, you want to make sure to fully charge to get the maximum output. To charge the Power Union, you have two options: solar or wall outlet. The device supports 3 kW solar and 3.3kW outlet charging. The solar can be from a wide range from 12V to 250V, which means you can use home solar panels or portable solar panels.

Power Union’s Design and App

Moving on to the design aspect of the device, we see the brushed metal and ambient lighting of the Mango Power Union. The complete device with the portable module is roughly 17.6 x 13.6 x 26.7 inches. The design is sleek and does not look out of place when sitting in a room. The LED light shows the status of the device whether it is charging, connected or has an error.

Like the BLUETTI power station, the Mango Power Union also has an app to customize and control your power station. Within the app, you can turn off ports, view power usage and receive notifications. A neat feature is the app can view your carbon footprint which can help users try be more green and conserve energy.

Want to clarify some things for the Delta Pro:
    DP has 20 ports.
Out of the five AC outputs, 4 are 20a, 1 is 30a.
    There’s 2 100w USB-C ports.
DP super early bird price was $1,999.
    Retail will be $3599.
    Wall charging I would consider 120v and it’s limited to 1800w. 3000w from 240v.
Might have missed it but didn’t see weight and charging cycles to X% for the Mango.
