5 Ways to Make your Blog More Visible to Search Engines

By Guest Authors

What good is writing content if no one will see it? Unfortunately this is many a bloggers plight. When you take the time to craft creative, interesting and though provoking content, naturally you want as many people to read your posts as possible. Sounds easy right? Not quite…

There are a lot of ways to make your blog more popular, like telling people in your social networks about your new blog. If you have a “loudspeaker” type friend, it only takes one person to spread your info to many different networks. Essentially social media has become the technical way anything is spread “word of mouth” these days. Naturally the more networks you spread it across, the more opportunity there is for social sharing.

So you have this figured out, you are good to go right? Hold up. Don’t forget perhaps the most important factor. If you aren’t ranking on the first few pages for your blog topic in search engines, you essentially don’t exist. Sad but true, SEO (or search engine optimization) cannot be forgotten.

Step 1: Change Privacy Settings

The first step, however, in making your blog visible to different search engines is to set your blog privacy settings open to all search engines. Otherwise, your blog post might be restricted and unavailable to a number of search engines. The more search engines that are open to your blogs, the more often your tags and links will show up on the search prompts.

Step 2: Use Tags Appropriately

The second way that you can use to make your blog more visible is by using appropriate tags. These tags will include links, photos and articles and a recommended number of tags that can be used ranges from about 5-10 times in the blog.

Step 3: Update Content Frequently

You can make your blogging a regular activity. Writing often will update the newest events that are making big news in the world, this way a large audience will quickly develop on your blog. Combining this strategy along with the advantage of using tags will attract more people to other blogs which you have written.

Step 4: Encourage Interaction

The fourth step to make your blog more visible to search engines is to read and comment on other blogs yourself. By doing this, you will also give way for others to have connections towards your blog posts. Any extra ways which you can connect from person to person is always a great strategy to consider when getting more traffic towards your blog.

Step 5: Synchronize

The fifth way can be the way you input your writing and synchronizing it perfectly with well placed tags. A great article will no doubt bring attention on interesting subjects that are grabbing everyone’s attention. Combining your tags within your article with a subtle way of making your writing stand out more with a unique style is essential. These are just a few of the tips that you can use to make your blog more visible to search engines and help to make your articles well known and popular.

Very helpful post, thanks for sharing;) There are things we need to do to make our blogs visible. Just because we build our blog, doesn’t mean audience will automatically come. Improving our key terms is one important way. We have to uncover what information/keywords our prospective customers are looking and use them in our blogs in a way that will get their attention and search engines would love.

I’ll tell ya more.. Add alt text to your images in posts. Write perfect meta description of your blog.. Write targeted description of posts if you are using blogger.. if wordpress then tags… you can include as many tags you want but meaningful… your link to any post must have perfect keywords….for eg: we are searching for movie review then your link may be xyz.com/abc-movie-review

But if you know the perfect keyword like i know here in movie review people search for roger ebert’s movie review

Sp my link will be xyz.com/abc-movie-review-by-roger-ebert

Try out these tips.. If you don’t feel the change delete this comment or email me.
