LUFIER Thermal Printer Review – Shipping Label Printer with High-Speed 150mm/s

Updated on Sep 8, 2021 by Tuan Do

As more brick-and-mortar businesses are moving online and accept nationwide shipping, they all have to figure out ways to cut costs of shipping and logistics. One of the easiest ways is using a thermal label printer like the LUFIER. Let’s check out how this product could help.

Disclosure: We received the printer in exchange for the review. We spent time testing it to make sure the review is honest and unbiased.

Features & Performance

The LUFIER is super easy to set up and it took me just about 5 minutes to start using it. Basically, I just plugged it in, connected to my computer, installed driver from their official website (available for Windows and macOS), and start printing. Inside the box, we also have a label holder that supports rolls and folded stacks. I just need to place it behind the printer so that it could feed paper into the machine.

There is a latch on the right side of the printer; You can slide it to open the top to adjust paper position or clean thermal print head. I don’t need to switch it during usage because this printer doesn’t require any maintenance. It prints labels without ink or toner, all we need is thermal papers. Many logistics companies are offering the papers for free, therefore, you will save a lot of money from buying paper, ink, and an expensive printer. A thermal printer like this costs around $100 and that’s probably your only investment to print shipping labels.

The LUFIER is ideal for printing shipping labels, warehouse labels, barcode, or ID labels. It supports the width ranging from 2″ to 4.65″. I’m very impressed with its printing speed. According to the manufacturer, it can reach the speed of 150mm/s or about 72 labels per minute.

In terms of printing quality, obviously it is not as clear and sharp as printed on an inkjet or laser printer but it is acceptable for a label. There are a few jagged edges but everything is readable and the barcode looks great as well. I’ve shipped a few items using the thermal labels and haven’t got any problem.

The LUFIER Printer is available on Amazon for $139 but you can use the coupon code 515EKUU9 to receive a 51% discount. That brings the price down to $68.99. The coupon is valid until the end of September.
