LG G7 ThinQ Model Number Differences

Updated on Jul 22, 2018 by Tuan Do

LG launched its latest flagship, the LG G7 ThinQ, in May 2018. The latest phone comes with the latest features and hardware, so it is expected to recover the brand image after the failure of recent LG’s flagships.

As compared to its predecessor, the LG G7 is much easier to purchase. You can order it through a carrier like Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon, or at BestBuy or B&H. The most prominent features of the G7 are powerful hardware with the Snapdragon 845 chip and 4GB of RAM, the AI camera, Boombox speaker and surround sound, Google Assistant integration, and an almost bezel-free display with the peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

This year, the LG G7 comes with some different model numbers like G710EAW, G710N, G710EM, G710AWM, G710EMW, G710TM, G710ULM, G710VMX, G710PM, and G710VM. Let’s check out their differences.

I ordered a LG G710ULM and received a LG G710VM. I want to use it on Tracfone. Will it work with a sim card for ATT that I can get from Tracfone? What are the dis-advantages if any from the ULM phone?

the version G710VM only work on Sprint, but G710ULM should works on all carriers
the better version is G710AWM from Canada (unlocked) or G710EMW (unlocked)

WiFi Calling compatibility? In my experience, only VZ-branded phones have wifi calling feature on VZ. Depends, but important for me.

John B that is only partially correct. The G710VM is Verizon not Sprint and that’s exactly what V in vm stands for. Don’t know how you would confuse that with Sprint.

My grandpa said this phone helped him make bean burritos in his basement(whole new online recipe) Luckily there is a Washer in his basement, so he can clean his garments, but unfortunately he must hang his underwear from the Clothes line outside, where the neighbors take pics of his garments with there LG G7 Thinq from a nice distance, to not be contaminated by the long term exposure of toxic bio waste within the region, with excellent results in every photo. This phone I would recommend to all who want supreme quality, at an outstandingly reasonable price.

    Sincerely,
    Steve Jackson

I oredered a Sprint LG G7 from bestbuy, but i received LG G7 with different model number, which is LGG710PSVKT.

I’m a bit worried if this LG isn’t original.

I want a clear cut say, if my LG is fake or original.
