I will Join BlogWorld NY 2012, Largest Social Media Event of the Year

Updated on Jul 26, 2013 by Tuan Do

BlogWorld & New Media Expo is known as the largest Social Media Conference dedicated to blogging, podcasting, social media and social networking. With thousands of attendees from over 50 countries, more than 200 speakers, this is the must-attend event for whoever interested in blogging and social media.

I have followed the event since the BlogWorld 2010 in Las Vegas and BlogWorld 2011 in Los Angeles and New York City as there are some of my favorite bloggers attending, such as John Chow or Darren Rowse. However, I couldn’t attend the conferences in previous years because the US is too far from my country, it would cost me $2,000 for 2-ways plane ticket and at least more $500 for living expenses in New York in 3 days. I couldn’t learn much from the short news and reviews from other bloggers who participated in the event, therefore, joining the BlogWorld 2012 has become one of my most important goals in 2012. As I moved to New York earlier this year, now I have a great chance to meet other awesome bloggers that will have a speech or just attend the conference.

Actually at the time this post is published, I have already purchased the 3-day Blogger/Podcaster Pass. My ticket will including following access levels:

  • Access to the conference sessions in 3 days.
  • Access to Keynote sessions.
  • Access to exhibits during open hours on Wednesday & Thursday.
  • Access to all Official Evening Parties & Mixers and Networking Reception on Exhibit Floor.
  • Does not include entry to the Social Media Business Summit Break Area at any time.

The only feature missing in the package is Social Media Business Summit. I don’t register for the Summit because this will concentrate on social media strategies for businesses to increase their revenues and provide better service for customers. One more reason is that its pricing is quite high, more $450 for just the summit. You can get cheapest price if you register sooner than February 22. The prices will increase by time, for example, my ticket will increase to $397 if I register after May 15. Here are the registration pricing of BlogWorld 2012:

Pass Type thru 2/22 thru 3/15 thru 5/15 after 5/15
3 Day Blogger/Podcaster Pass $147 $197 $297 $397
Social Media Business Summit $597 $697 $897 $1,097
Exhibits Only $37 $47 $57 $77
Virtual Ticket $147 $197 $247 $297
Virtual Ticket Add-on
(add to 3 Day or Social Media Business Summit passes only)
$47 $47 $47 $97

This will be a great chance for me to meet and listen to speech delivered by some famous bloggers or leaders in the Internet industry, such as Pat Flynn from The Smart Passive Income Blog, Syed Balkhi from WPBeginner or Zac Johnson. The first advantage is that surely I can learn a lot from their presentations, stories and experience that will be shared in the conference. Moreover, there are a lot of other bloggers attending the event, so I will be able to talk and expand the network with those bloggers, one of the weakest parts for TechWalls at the moment.

If you can’t go to New York to join me, you can still get online access to all recorded sessions (audio & slides) plus added bonuses by purchasing the virtual ticket. That’s great, huh? Make sure you purchase ticket early to save some money, I believe this will be the most effective money you’ve ever spent.

Will you join me at the event? If you have any questions that you want to ask those famous people in the industry, please comment below and I will answer you in the recap post after the event.

Disclosure: We might earn commission from qualifying purchases. The commission help keep the rest of my content free, so thank you!

      Thanks a lot, PrIyAnGsHu.
I will write a detailed review about what I’ve got after the conference. If you can’t attend, there is still the virtual ticket that you can access to all conferences. I will try to have a speech at BlogWorld next year, that would be great to see you there some day. :)

Nothing is impossible, Tung. One year ago, I thought I would never be able to go to New York and join the event.
I am aiming to become a speaker at BlogWorld 2013, I hope to see you then. :D

What a pity that I can’t join this event. I have one more year to surpass and go for Master degree. Hope that I can come to the US and have a talk with you in Blogworld 2013

      That’s great, Tho.
You may have some free time next year after finishing your degree. I expect to have talks with Vietnamese bloggers at BlogWorld 2013. :)
