HMR Mini Condenser Microphone for iPhone Review

By Guest Authors

When smartphones become an all-in-one device, they’re totally capable of recording sound. However, it might not meet requirements of many people for professional works.

In case you are doing music production, podcasting, or reporting, a high-quality external microphone is a must-have accessory. While many condenser microphones are out of budget of most average consumers, there are some cheap options that cost less than $20. We’re checking out the HMR Mini Condenser Microphone in this post.

This is a very portable microphone, it is just slightly bigger than a highlighter and you can easily put it in your pocket. On the front, we have the on/off switch, an echo slider, and a volume slider. On the bottom, there are an AUX port, a headphones port, and a microUSB charging port.

It is quite easy to use the microphone, you will just need to connect it to your smartphone/computer, then plug in your headphones to monitor your voice.

It features a 400mAh battery that could last up to 6 hours. The microphone is made for the field, not studio recording, so the quality couldn’t be as good as professional condensers. However, this is absolutely a good upgrade over the built-in microphone on your smartphone.

You can also install some singing apps like Smule or Yokee to have karaoke sessions on the go.
