G-Form X-Protect Case for iPhone 5S Review

By Tuan Do

I’m still trying to find the best case for iPhone 5S that could balance the aesthetics and protection. The G-Form X-Protect Case is my latest effort and I really hope it could be the one.

I watched some of their commercials and pretty impressed with its shock-proof and abrasion-resistant features. Let’s check out my review of the protective case.

In terms of design, I don’t really like this case because the materials look very cheap and you will almost lose the premium feeling when holding an Apple device. The good thing is that the G-Form case is quite lightweight and slim. Besides, it also has cutouts on the ports, speaker and camera lens. You can also check out some more images of the case here:

After applying the case, I have some problem with the Power button as it is too stiff to press. I almost couldn’t wake up my iPhone with normal pushes, you will need to push it very hard.

Regarding protection, this is absolutely better than other plastic cases because it features a dual-layer protection. It includes a tough plastic shell and rubber pads (Reactive Protection Technology) that could absorb force from impact pretty well. The rubber parts are also raised above the screen, so the screen will also be protected when the phone is dropped on hard floors.

The case is currently available for $40.99 on MobileFun. This is a good case to protect your phone but this price is too expensive. Honestly I wouldn’t pay more than $10 for this G-Form case.
