Air purifiers are among the best-selling home appliances this summer. People are more aware of how harmful small particles, allergens, smoke, or chemicals are, so they need to find a way to protect their well-being, especially in polluted areas. An air purifier with a true HEPA filter has been long considered the best solution to provide clean air. In this post, we’re checking out the Bulex air purifier.

Unboxing & Testing
Features & Performance
The working mechanism of this air purifier is pretty simple. Basically, it has a fan to suck the air into air inlets on the base, the filters inside will capture dust, pet dander, pollen, allergens, and particles as small as 0.01 mil (including PM2.5, PM0.3), then project clean air through the top opening. This Bulex features 4-stage filtration but the most important filters are HEPA and activated carbon filter. While HEPA filter captures small particles, activated carbon can get rid of smoke and uncomfortable odors.
When buying an air purifier, you should only focus on 2 aspects which are filters and motors. As discussed, the filter of the Bulex is quite standard and good enough for most of us. The motor is made of pure copper to increase efficiency and reduce heat generated. The air purifier has 4 fan speed settings and even at the maximum speed, the measured loudness is just around 54 dB. It also has a Sleep mode with the noise level of around 32 dB.
Besides, the purifier comes with a lagoon blue night light and a timer to turn off automatically. Below the 4 buttons on top, there is a filter reset reminder which will turn on an orange light when it is time to replace the filter. Each filter lasts from 3-6 months depending on your usage time; You can buy the replacement filter on Amazon for $29.
The Bulex air purifier works pretty well in my test and it is suitable for rooms of up to 200 sq. ft.. My only complaint is that the beep sound when pressing buttons is too loud and can wake up your kids in the middle of the night.
