I’ve used many charging stations on my desk to charge a variety of devices, however, none of them could stay because they were a mess with a spiderweb of cables. I didn’t expect much when testing the Baseus Nomos 245W but this could be the one. Instead of adding more clutter disguised as convenience, it genuinely reduces it and gives me more power than I really need.

How It Organizes My Desk

With four USB-C ports, one USB-A, and a Qi2 magnetic wireless pad on top, the Nomos checks every box. If you’re running a mix of devices, there’s a port for all of it. The Qi2 pad has a MagSafe-style alignment ring, so my iPhone snaps into place at the ideal charging angle and speed. I can lift up the pad and the iPhone still snaps into place easily. The magnet is strong enough to hold my iPhone in this position and it looks way cooler than laying it down.

The digital display on the front might sound like a gimmick, but it’s quite satisfying to use. It can show power draw for each active output and updates in real time as devices finish charging or reallocate wattage. It’s not something to stare at but it is great to know that the charger is doing its job. There is a button on the right side to switch between some different screens; You can see the total power, power of each port, and the current mode (Balanced, High Performance, or Smart Cooling).

The feature I didn’t know I needed is the pair of retractable USB-C cables built into the body. These extend to about 31 inches, long enough to reach comfortably anywhere on my desk, and retract smoothly when I’m done. I really appreciate the tiny yet useful engineer details of the cable; They also lock in place while extended.

Baseus claims these braided cables withstand 35,000 pulls. I can’t verify that number yet, but after a few weeks of constant tugging and rewinding, I believe they will last. Most of the time, I don’t have any loose wire on my desk as I often just need to charge 2-3 devices at the same time; So the 2 retractable USB-C cables are more than enough. I now just pull, plug, and let them disappear again.
Real Power
The Nomos dedicates up to 140W to each of its first two USB-C ports, that means it can fast charge 2 MacBook Pros at the same time. Behind the scenes is Baseus’ BPS 3.0 system, which automatically distributes power among devices. Combined with GaN tech, the charger stays surprisingly cool and compact.

I tried charging all of my devices, including a MacBook Pro, two iPads, two iPhones, and a Kindle. The Nomos is still very powerful for charging those devices. Even with all 6 devices connected, the power draw rarely creeps above 70 watts. On paper, the charger’s total output soars up to 245W, but in practical use it just means headroom.
I also love that there is no fan noise and no heating issues. Unlike other chargers that cram all circuitry into a single housing and build up heat in the main body, the Baseus uses a split design that distributes the thermal load to the external power adapter. By relocating a large portion of heat generation away from the desktop unit, the charger stays cooler and far more stable during sustained high-output sessions. The result is consistent, reliable wattage even when powering multiple devices at once.

Conclusion
The Baseus Nomos 245W Charging Station changes how I organize power on my desk. Between the retractable cables, GaN-powered efficiency, wireless charging, and enough wattage headroom for all of my devices, it feels like an investment that finally removes cable stress. If you need to reduce clutter on your desk, this station is absolutely worth it. It’s clean, powerful, and smarter than most hubs I’ve used. If you’re on a lower budget, you can get the 160W version which is still very powerful for most average consumers.
