Xiaomi Mi Power Cord Storage Box Review – Get Your Chargers Under Control

By Tuan Do

There are more than 10 gadgets in my home office, so I really hate to have power cords all over the place. This creates a big mess on my desktop and it could decrease my productivity as well. Besides, my surge protectors are exposed, so it becomes more difficult to clean it up.

The Xiaomi Mi power cord storage box might be a perfect solution for many of us. Let’s check it out.

Design & Features

This is a very simple product. You can see that it still features the Xiaomi’s minimalist design philosophy, just like their expensive gadgets. It is just a plastic box with a removable lid and cutouts on the base and on the 2 sides. Unlike some other cheap products, the Mi box features a heat dissipation design on the bottom.

I appreciate that the lid has raised edges and a rubber opening at the center, so it becomes a tray that you can charge your smartphone or other devices. The lid will also help prevent dust from coming in and keep your chargers clean. Inside the box, you can put a power strip/surge protector inside so that the plugs are not visible.

The only concern is that you should check the size of the box and your power strip. Some of my surge protectors are too big for the box. Specifically, the box measures 104-110.6 mm x 114 mm x 295 mm. Most surge protectors with less than 4 sockets will fit perfectly inside the box.

The Mi storage box is truly an elegant solution for cable and cord organizer. We at TechWalls highly recommend the product.
