Tribit XBoom 24W Portable Wireless Speaker Review – Just Wow

By Tuan Do

A few years ago, we all have to invest at least $100 to get a capable Bluetooth speaker. The cost is much lower nowadays as more manufacturers target low-budget products. The Tribit XBoom is a great example and I can understand why Amazon customers love this product.

Unboxing & Sound Test

Design & Features

The Tribit Xboom has a portable design just like other products on the market. It has a silicone strap so that you can carry the speaker around even easier. I’m impressed the most with huge buttons on the front of the speaker. They are easy to reach and also make the design less boring.

On the back, we have the power button, battery indicator, Bluetooth button, XBass button to boost the bass, AUX, and micro-USB charging port.

I feel quite confident with the ruggedness and durability of the Xboom since it uses rubber parts and woven mesh wrapping around its body.

The battery life of the speaker is quite amazing although it is equipped with just a 2,600mAh battery. It could last more than 15 hours on a single charge.

Another important feature is the IPX7 water resistant rating. The speaker can survive rains or even submergence in water.

Audio Quality

I didn’t expect a good sound from a portable speaker. Surprisingly, the Tribit Xboom has great performance in all frequency ranges. You can check out my sound test in the video on top.

Although the Xboom’s power is lower than the Tronsmart Element T6‘s, it sounds a lot better. It has bass radiators on both the top and bottom, so the amount of bass is admirable. It is not really deep but it sounds clear and full of energy. The mids are well-pronounced and we all can hear the vocals clearly. The treble is well controlled and it doesn’t have annoying spikes. Having said that, the highs are quite airy thanks to the crisp and clear upper mids. As a result, the sound stage of this portable speaker is quite impressive and you don’t have to sit in front of the speaker to enjoy music.

Many people prefer the Xboom over its competitions like the JBL Flip 4 or UE Boom Bluetooth speakers. It is not only cheaper but also sounds better. Besides, you can even pair it with another unit to create a stereo system.

Conclusion

Pros

  • Great build
  • Long battery life
  • Consistent Bluetooth speaker
  • Amazing sound

Cons

  • Nothing

The Tribit Xboom is an easy recommendation from me because I’m totally satisfied with the product during the reviewing period. This is a perfect choice in the price range.
