myCharge RazorPlatinum USB Type-C Portable Charger for New MacBook Review

By Tuan Do

I’ve used a lot of power banks but the myCharge RazorPlatinum is the most expensive one and it comes with some special features. Let’s check it out.

Unboxing

Features & Performance

The RazorPlatinum has an attractive design in an anodized aluminum body. It looks really great alongside your iPhone or MacBook, the solid build makes me feel like this is an official Apple’s accessory.

It is boasted to be the most powerful power bank and it’s among a few ones that can charge a laptop. It has 2 output ports on the side, including a USB-C port and a USB-A port. You can use the USB-C port to charge a compatible laptop like the new MacBook Pro, Dell XPS, or Razer Blade Stealth. The port can deliver a 36W output and the new MacBook Pro 13 can be fully charged in around 2 hours. The charging time is slower than when using the included wall charger, this is totally understandable because that wall charger has the wattage of 61W. Therefore, if you want to charge your laptop, you shouldn’t charge any other device at the same time.

The battery has a capacity of 13,400 mAh. That means you can charge your iPhone 5-6 times or your MacBook twice. The LED indicator will let you know when the battery is drained out. You can also use the battery pack to charge your Android phones, it supports fast charging so you will have a fully charged phone in no time.

The myCharge RazorPlatinum comes in a hefty price tag but it’s totally worth it. I highly recommend the product if you are using the latest Apple’s products.
