I’ve been looking for a cabinet to organize and showcase all of my figures and books. After searching, I’m quite impressed with the Hernest Lira although it is a bit expensive at around $1,700.
Disclosure: We received the cabinet as a courtesy for review purposes. However, the review is intended to provide honest, unbiased insights about the product, based on personal experiences and observations.
I’ve ordered many large furniture pieces online, and most of them are flat-packed boxes which take hours of assembly. So when the delivery truck dropped off a massive box in my garage, I was both impressed and slightly overwhelmed. I figured out that the cabinet is fully assembled. I didn’t expect how heavy it would be. According to the manufacturer, the cabinet itself weighs 246.9 lbs without packaging.
The cabinet arrived extremely well-protected, with thick styrofoam, wood panels and secure wrapping that kept everything intact during transit. There were no dents, scratches, or loose components. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I initially thought I could manage to move it inside myself, but that idea quickly disappeared.

To make it manageable, I had to remove the doors and take out the shelves to reduce some of the weight. Even after doing that, it still required two strong adults to safely carry it into my room. The cabinet is not only heavy but also bulky due to its height and width. If you’re planning to purchase this piece, I highly recommend opting for the Room of Choice or White Glove Delivery service. Having professionals move it directly into your desired space would save a lot of effort and potential strain.
Once it was finally in place, though, all the hassle felt worth it. The cabinet measures 47.2 inches wide, 16.1 inches deep, and 77.9 inches high, and it fits beautifully in my room. Its tall, vertical design draws the eye upward and gives the room a more refined and structured look. Given the cabinet’s height and weight, I’d highly recommend using the anti-tip kit hardware to secure the cabinet to the wall.

And of course, it is way more sturdier than most cheap cabinets I’ve used recently. It is crafted from solid oak and engineered wood with oak veneers, and it feels incredibly sturdy. All the wood is kiln-dried, which adds durability and helps prevent warping over time. You can feel that this isn’t a flimsy, mass-produced piece.
I also like the brown oak finish. It looks warm and dimensional rather than flat or overly uniform. The grain pattern comes alive, giving the cabinet a timeless appearance. You can also choose other finishes like natural oak or black oak.
The doors are heavy but I have no problem opening or closing them, thanks to the magnets and wheels on the bottom. I also appreciate the tempered glass on the doors. The glass feels thick, solid, and well-secured within the oak frame. It allows me to display items inside while still keeping them protected from dust, and the clarity of the glass showcases everything beautifully. The only disadvantage is that there is no built-in light, so I’ll need to add some lights later.

There is a drawer in the middle of the cabinet. It is built with precision dovetail joints. It feels solid and smooth when opening and closing. This cabinet feels like something that could easily last for many years with daily use. Besides, there are 2 adjustable shelves, which offer flexibility depending on what you plan to store. The storage capacity is generous and I have no problem putting tall items on the shelves.
Overall, the Hernest Lira is my favorite display cabinet with glass doors. It delivers exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and visual appeal. This piece is absolutely worth its premium price tag.
