GOOLOO A7 Jump Starter with Air Compressor Review – The Ultimate Emergency Tool for Your Car

By Tuan Do

I always keep an air compressor as an emergency tool in my car. It is something that we hope we never need but would be grateful when we do. I had a portable air compressor but its power is quite underwhelming, so I was excited to give the GOOLOO A7 a try.

Disclosure: We received the jump starter as a courtesy for review purposes. However, the review is intended to provide honest, unbiased insights about the product, based on personal experiences and observations.

Inside the box, you can find the A7, a USB-C charging cable, a smart jumper cable, a blower compression tube, an air hose, nozzle kits, and blower nozzles. The A7 is significantly larger than most portable air compressors on the market but it is still very compact and I love its built-in handle. It’s easy to store in the trunk without taking up much space.

Inside the unit, we have impressive power rating: a massive 6,000A peak current which is capable of starting all 12V gas engines and even diesel engines up to 12 liters. That means whether you drive a sedan, a truck, an RV, a boat, this jump starter has enough power to get you going. You’re covered not just for your own vehicle, but you can help out pretty much anyone else you come across with a dead battery. While I haven’t yet needed to use the jump-starting function, the power gives me a peace of mind on the road. If you ever find yourself stranded with a dead battery in a remote area or late at night, having this device could help you avoid waiting for roadside assistance.

On the other hand, what I have used extensively is the built-in air compressor. The GOOLOO A7 impresses me with both a 160 PSI high-pressure inflator and a 150L/min turbo blower. Portable air compressors are incredibly useful, especially when tire pressure drops in colder months. I used it to inflate all 4 tires on my car, and the battery indicator barely moved. With some cheaper and smaller portable compressors, I often found that inflating 4 tires drained the battery completely, and I had to recharge the battery immediately afterwards. It manages to inflate my tires from 38 PSI to 42 PSI in just 40 seconds. The only limitation is that the device doesn’t remember the pressure unit, so I always have to hold the mode button to switch from kPa to PSI every time turning it on.

I’ve also used it to inflate sports equipment like basketballs as well as larger items like inflatable boat or mattress. This makes it not only a car tool, but also a versatile device for outdoor activities or camping trips. Instead of switching between different pumps or dragging around extension cords, I now just need this one device.

Notably, it has a built-in 400-lumen flashlight that’s bright enough for nighttime roadside repairs or camping, and it even includes an SOS mode for signaling in emergency situations. On top of that, this is also a portable power bank that allows you to charge phones or other small devices when you’re off-grid.

This device gives you control in situations where you’d otherwise be stuck on the road. It covers 2 of the most common roadside emergencies: a dead battery and a flat tire. If your car won’t start, the jump starter has you covered. If your tire pressure suddenly drops, or you notice a slow leak, you can take care of it right away instead of ruining your tire. The GOOLOO A7 is a must-have accessory for any car, especially in the upcoming winter. The product is currently available for around $150 on its official website.
