The Funism Pokémon Prime Figure Charmander is an impressive release from the Prime Figure series. Standing at around 7.1 inches tall, the figure feels surprisingly heavy and premium in hand.
The biggest issue is the assembly process. Just like my Gengar figure, the 2 fire effect parts were extremely difficult to attach to the base. The pegs felt too stiff and not well aligned to the holes. This appears to be a recurring quality control issue with Funism figures. Fortunately, after some effort, I was still able to push the effect parts into place, although they do not fit all the way in.
What I like most about this figure is the pose. Charmander looks energetic and adorable at the same time, and the translucent fire effects around the base really make the display stand out. The flame parts add a dynamic feel to the figure.

The sculpt and paintwork are also very solid with a matte finish. The facial expression looks accurate to the anime style, and the colors are vibrant. Once fully assembled, the figure looks amazing on display and definitely feels more expensive than its roughly $40 price tag.
Considering the overall sculpt quality, I really cannot complain too much. The Charmander figure looks beautiful on the shelf and is absolutely worth picking up for Pokémon fans.
