The Funism Mewtwo and Mew Good Buddy Prime Figure is easily one of my favorite releases from Funism so far. I had some issues with the regular Prime figures as they can be a little frustrating during assembly. That is why I really appreciate this Good Buddy Prime Figure line. It comes in one piece, so there is no setup problem at all. I can take it out of the box and display it right away.
Besides, instead of showing just one Pokémon standing on a simple base, this figure captures both characters in action. Mewtwo looks powerful and intense while preparing a Shadow Ball attack, and the pose gives the whole figure a lot of energy. Mew floating in the background adds a nice contrast because it looks cute, playful, and mysterious at the same time. The combination of the two Pokémon makes the display feel much more interesting.

I also really like the rock base and the translucent effects around the figure. The base gives Mewtwo a stronger battle-scene appearance, while the effect parts help create movement and depth. Even though the figure is non-articulated, the sculpt makes it feel alive with Mewtwo’s attack pose. From different angles, the figure still looks impressive.
The paintwork and overall design look very nice for the price range of around $60. Funism has done a good job capturing the iconic look while also making the scene feel more dramatic. After displaying this figure, I absolutely will buy another one in the Good Buddy series.
