Askborg ChargeCube Powerbank Lineup – Cheap External Batteries for your Devices

By Tuan Do

Askborg has just introduced a new lineup of powerbanks called Askborg ChargeCube. There are 3 products in the series with varying capacities, which are 5200mAh, 10400mAh, and 20800mAh. Let’s check them out.

Askborg ChargeCube 5200mAh

The ChargeCube 5200mAh is the smallest battery in the collection. Although it has a very compact size, the capacity of 5200mAh is enough to fully charge your smartphone once or even twice. There is only one button on the front to check the battery level or operate the built-in flashlight. On the side, you can find a microUSB port to charge the battery itself and a USB port to charge your mobile devices. Unfortunately, the powerbank doesn’t support fast charging, its has an output of just 1A. That means it could take about 3-4 hours to charge my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

This is the bigger battery in terms of size and capacity. If you are serious about getting an external battery, you should at least consider this one instead of the smaller version. The ChargeCube still manages to fit perfectly inside any pocket but I’d not recommend you to do so for your own safety. The powerbank puts everything on the side, you can find the power button, LED indicator, built-in LED flashlight, a microUSB-in and 2 USB ports for charging our devices. Notably, one of the port supports fast charging at 2.1A, which is very handy to charge compatible devices.

Askborg ChargeCube 20800mAh

The heavy-duty ChargeCube is the biggest Askborg powerbank and it delivers more than just the huge capacity of 20,800mAh. There is a display on the front showing you how much juice is left and which port is being used. Similar to the mid-range version, it is also equipped with one 1A port and one 2.1A port. The only downside of the ChargeCube is the lack of built-in flashlight.
