Tronsmart Element T2 Outdoor Bluetooth Speaker Review

By Tuan Do

When Bluetooth speakers started reaching out to consumers a few years ago, they were so expensive and it was difficult to find one for less than $100. I couldn’t believe I could grab one for less than $30 one day. The Tronsmart Element T2 is such a cheap Bluetooth speaker, let’s check out how it performs.

Unboxing & Sound Test

Design & Features

The Tronsmart speaker has a very unattractive design with an all-black exterior. It has metal front and back grilles, and all sides are well-protected with rubbery surfaces. In fact, it has a water-resistance rating of IPX56, so this is very suitable for outdoor activities.

All buttons are placed on top of the speaker while connections are on the left side. You can find an AUX jack, a microSD card slot, and a micro USB charging port here.

The battery life of the speaker is quite good as it could last up to 12 hours.

Audio Quality

The speaker has two 3.5W drivers and I’m quite surprised with how powerful they are. The small speaker has a very good bass but you should be careful because the speaker might move around a little bit. The sound still feels boxy and harsh but it’s totally acceptable for the size and price. Most people use Bluetooth speakers outdoors wouldn’t need an audiophile-grade speaker.

Conclusion

Pros

  • Durable build
  • Low price
  • Acceptable sound

Cons

  • Muddy sound

Overall, we can’t ask much from a cheap Bluetooth speaker like this. It has a rugged design and a good sound in a small body, I recommend the product if you’re on a budget.
