SmallWorks Lego Brick Case for iPhone 5S Review

By Tuan Do

Who doesn’t love Lego? How about the combination of Lego and iPhone case? SmallWorks knows there are a lot of fans from the 2 brands and they release some different Lego brick cases, not only for iPhone but also iPad Mini and iPod Touch.

This is really a unique market and has a lot of potential. In this post, we will take a closer look at the iPhone 5S cases to see if it could stand up to par with other cases.

I’ve got a Red and a Glow SmallWorks Lego Case. The Glow case looks great on their website but I’m a little disappointed because it looks quite cheap out of the dark. That’s why I prefer the Red case.

The SmallWorks case fits my iPhone 5S perfectly. The cutouts are big enough and it makes you easily access to the buttons and ports underneath. I really like the plastic they used to make the case, it looks shiny, solid and you will feel like you are holding a real Lego piece. I also had no problem in attaching Lego pieces to the case. Take a look at some more product images below.

I am a fan of Lego toys, so I am very interested in the Lego case. However, if you are thinking about building a car, a house or a dinosaur on it, think again because you won’t be able to put the iPhone in your pocket anymore. Therefore, I am using it without any more Lego piece and it still looks geeky enough. One thing I don’t like is that the case is adding significant thickness to my phone, but it is still acceptable.

This is a hard plastic case, so I believe it won’t be able to absorb forces and protect the iPhone as well as some other cases I reviewed here, such as the G-Form case. But it still can protect your phone from scratches, dirt and moderate shocks.

The SmallWorks brick case is being sold on Amazon for $24.99. The case has premium design and material, this is definitely a perfect gift for geeks. Are you interested in the Lego brick case?
