Nokia Lumia 1020 announced at NY event

After numerous leaks for the new device Nokia Lumia 1020, Stephen Elop took the step at the Nokia Zoom Reinvented event in New York to announce the Nokia Lumia 1020. According to the news, it has Windows 8 cameraphone flagship.

Nokia Lumia 1020 Specs

According to the recent announcements, Nokia Lumia 1020 is said to be a centerpiece of 1020’s and is the 4`MP autofocus. It has a PureView camera with a 1/1.5” BSI sensor. It also has 6-lens ZEISS optics and has the feature of optical image stabilization.

The phone has LED flash for the purpose of shooting videos and a proper xenon flash. The new WP is specialized with 1020’s stabilized 41MP image sensor that can snap 40MP and 5MP photos at the same time. The other 41MP camera phone with the 808 PureView is said to only short one at a time.

Nokia will allow advanced user fiddle with camera settings and get the most impressive shooter. It has a full manual mode and there is a secondary 1.2MP wide angle camera. Videos can be captured up to a resolution of 108p and due to the high resolution sensor, it has lossless zoom with an ability of zooming up to four times and six times when you are shooting a 720p video.

The sound is recorded in stereo and the phone is powered by Snapdragon S4 chipset with a 1.5GHz dual-core Krait CPU which is the same as the Nokia Lumia 925. It has a 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage and has provided a 7GB of free SkyDrive storage.

The photos taken with the 41MP camera on the 4.5” Clear black AMOLED display are of 1280 x 768 pixels resolution which is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and features Nokia’s PureMotion HD+ technology. Super Sensitive Touch technology is present that will allow you to operate the phone with gloves and nails.

It includes Bluetooth 3.0, NFC (featuring SIM-based security), dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and GPS with Glonass support. Lumia 1020 is powered by a 2000mAh capacity and supports wireless charging by an accessory cover which should be bought separately. According to Finns, the mobile can last up to 16 days on standby and can provide 13.3 hours of talk time. Video and music playback endurance are rated at 6.8 and 63 hours. Lumia 1020 is lighter than its predecessor and is not bulky. Nokia Lumia 1020 will be available in yellow, white and black colours. It will hit the AT&T on July 26 for $299.99 with a two-year contract.

Lumia 1020 is expected to arrive in China and key Europe markets before the end of the quarter and then Nokia plans to ship an exclusive variant of the device with Telefonica for selecting markets in Europe and Latin America.
