LuguLake Blade Slim Wireless Speaker Review

Updated on Apr 17, 2016 by Tuan Do

I’ve been reviewing tons of wireless speakers and it is so difficult to buy a good one for less than $50. Is the LuguLake Blade Slim Wireless Speaker another cheap and low-quality product? Let’s find out in the review.

Unboxing Video

Design & Features

Unlike the LuguLake BT-10 I tested not long ago, I’m so surprised with design and build quality of the LuguLake Blade. It is very slim and lightweight. Of course it is bigger than my phone but it still can fit inside my pant pocket easily.

Control buttons are placed on top of the speaker. You can see there are a Bluetooth button, input switch button, volume/track, play/pause and answer/reject button.lugulake-blade-3

The power switch, battery indicator and a micro-USB port are put on the side. The back of the speaker is made of soft TPU material which feels like leather while all sides have soft-touch finish, so it really looks like a high-quality product.

Audio Quality

While the build quality is amazingly good, the sound quality didn’t meet my expectations. The speaker produces a thin sound and there is almost no bass. Moreover, the volume level is quite low and this is absolutely not the speaker to rock your room or bring outdoors.

The mids and highs are subdued, so the output loses a lot of details. And as you can expect from a speaker at this size, the soundstage is poorly presented. Therefore, you can see that the sound quality is not something extraordinary, this is not a good option to enjoy your music.

Conclusion

Pros

  • Portable design with good build
  • Low price

Cons

  • Average sound

The LuguLake Blade Slim Wireless Speaker is on sale on Amazon. We always have to sacrifice the sound quality for portability, but this is just too much. I don’t recommend this product at the moment.
