Wondershare UniConverter Video Converter Review

Updated on May 16, 2019 by Guest Authors

The Wondershare UniConverter seems to be a nice software package since it offers a wide array of features for video enthusiasts. It can convert between over 159 video and audio formats, including VR and 4K. Besides, it’s also a smart online video downloader, a video editor, an integrated DVD toolkit, and a media server. Everything costs less than $50. Is this a good deal? Let’s find out.

I’m very impressed with the simple workflow when using this software. I simply can drag the videos to the program window, choose output format, then click the Convert button. It supports almost all popular videos formats like MKV, MP4, WMV, MOV, or H.264. You can also choose some presets for devices like iPhone, Samsung, LG, or HTC phones.

Another useful feature is that you can save videos from websites like Facebook, Youtube, Vimeo, Metacafe, Dailymotion, or Hulu. With just 1 click, it will save and convert the videos to your preferred file type.

In case you need a simple video editing tool, this software is offering this feature too. Of course, it is nowhere near the capabilities of professional softwares, but you can make some simple enhancements, including trim, merge, crop, rotate, watermark, subtitle, change aspect ratio, volume, brightness, saturation, contrast, deinterlacing, grayscale, and some special effects.

If you are still using DVDs, you can also use this software to convert them to your video format, and burn your favorite videos to a DVD. You can also stream your local media files to your TV via Chromecast, Roku, or Apple TV.

Overall, Wondershare UniConverter is a powerful yet pricey software. You should buy it only when you need to convert a lot of files, otherwise, there are some free alternatives out there.

About the developer: Wondershare Technology is a publicly listed company focusing on video/audio for more than 10 years. Wondershare UniConverter is one of their main products. Besides, they have many famous products, such as Filmora.
